Creating a non-place from the memory of a physical location, Waverly Collectibles, this sculpture exists as a stripped version of the display cabinets that lined the back wall of my father’s small business before its closing. The cabinet is bifurcated by a 2-way mirror. On one side, the mirror reflects onto shelves full of real objects from the store. The other side, a dilapidated, empty version, becomes a transparent window to the inaccessible past.
